mary baker eddy, the years of trial

This book is the second entry in a three-volume biography, it recounts the fifteen years of Mary Baker Eddy’s life following the publication of the first edition of her book Science and Health at the end of 1875 up to the significant 50th edition in 1891, the year before her religious movement was permanently reorganized as the Church of Christ, Scientist. Enjoying unprecedented access to archival materials, Peel explores these critical years in Eddy’s life.

The january discussion will cover chapter 1.
